In another forum, I used a hammer warrior as an example of a build that takes longer to learn. Some other posters thought that opinion was ridiculous.

Now let me state that my warrior runs axe and sword, I have never used a hammer. I have always thought that using a hammer would involve more work as it seems that timing is a critical part of such a build.

Am I right or wrong?

If you can run the sever artery/gash/final thrust combination on a sword warrior you shouldn't have any problems. With stonefist gauntlets you'll have at least a 2 second kd to build your chain off of.

You'll first have to explain your reasoning for why hammer would be harder than sword or axe. The difficulties in playing warrior have nothing to do with the weapons you are using.

I'll give you an example of a really easy and effective hammer build.

1. Flail
2. Enraged Smash (E)
3. Enraging Charge
4. Any low-adrenaline skill
5. Any low-adrenaline skill
6. Any low-adrenaline skill
7. Any low-adrenaline skill
8. Res Sig

So here's basically how you play it.
1. Hit 3.
2. C-space.
3. When available, hit 1
4. 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, ..., 2 until enemy is dead.
5. Repeat from 2.
6. ????
7. Profit?!

I find that in PvE Hammer requires a lot more synergy.

yes i would say hammer is the hardest to use but i by no means think it is hard, i use all 3 and find hammer the most rewarding.

Depends on the build. No weapon is "harder" than the other, IMO.

hammers arent harder to use, they just require a different style of play than sword or axe. in pve i dont use hammers because there are many enemies that cant be knocked down and you lack a shield. in pvp however, you may lack a shield but hammers can definatley out damage and other weapon if used with speed buffs. you can use your knockdowns as interupts, but i use them to temporarily disable my targets actions. if knocked down, you can get off another 2-3 hits in while they cant do anything.
